Teaming up with local coffee shops in Bucharest, we managed to offer 50% discount on all products for young people, aged between 18 and 35 years old, that would have voted on December 11th, for the Romanian legislative elections. We convinced 7 coffee shops that have together more than 20 locations that attracted more than 500 youngsters.
During the Romanian legislative election campaign, the Danube Youth Alliance focused on raising an important topic in the public arena : women participation in politics. Being a country where women are chronically underrepresented, Romania faces an important social challenge towards gender equality. Lacking a considerable number of female politicians translates in less inclusive public policies that disadvantage the whole society. On February 4th, the Alliance organized a career event « First Step in Your Career », inviting more than 20 professionals coming from research, business, mass-media, law and arts sectors.
