11.12.2018, Bucharest: National Coordinator of EUSDR invites members of the Romanian Advisory Council to an internal meeting at Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Discussed are the structure of the EUSDR Advisory Council, its function and the procedure to promote projects. The Advisory Council supports EUSDR presidency of Romania. General Secretariat of Council of Danube Cities and Regions is member of the Advisory Council.
November 5-6th , 2018,Bucharest: Presidency of EUSDR was handed over to Romania at 7th Annual Forum what took place in Sofia. The launching event of Romanian Presidency was organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania and the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration. 19.10.2018: CoDCR was represented by Peter Langer and Eric Bartha at this key event of EUSDR. Bulgaria and the European Commission, in cooperation with Danube Transnational Programme organized 7th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy of the Danube Region in Sofia. The main focus of the event was on tourism development as a precondition to economic growth and territorial cohesion.
18.10.2018, Sofia: Extended Executive Committee of the Council of Danube Cities and Regions (CoDCR) met in Sofia. There is a clear commitment to strengthening capacities to develop projects by using existing facilities, e.g. the status of CoDCR as legal entity. Special Guest: Rudolf Schicker presented new Danube Strategy Point with offices in Vienna and Bucharest. Congratulation to him for becomming DSP Coordinator. CoDCR’s general secretariat in Bucharest supports new Romanian presidency in EUSDR.

The objective of the the 11th Steering Group (SG) meeting of Priority Area 5 (PA5) of the European Union Strategy for the Danube Region was: provide information on recent activities (EUSDR PA5, ICPDR, ISRBC, JRC, CC); update on project financing possibilities with a special focus on DTP and the Seed Money Facility and DSPF of EuroVienna; disseminate information about project proposals and project implementation related to PA5.

Teaming up with local coffee shops in Bucharest, we managed to offer 50% discount on all products for young people, aged between 18 and 35 years old, that would have voted on December 11th, for the Romanian legislative elections. We convinced 7 coffee shops that have together more than 20 locations that attracted more than 500 youngsters.
