Danube-Black Sea Innovation Forum – Bucharest – Romania, 22-23 May 2014

In order to prepare the Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (Vienna, June 26-27, 2014), the Romanian capital hosted at the Parliament Palace – Senate of Romania the preparatory national event, namely the 4th edition of the Danube – Black Sea Innovation Forum.

The event aimed to outline several major priority projects capable of re-configuring the future economic and social development, and involved 14 states and economies in the area (from all EUSDR countries).

The Forum was organized – at the recommendation of the European Commission – by EUROLINK-House of Europe Foundation in close cooperation with its main partners: Romanian EUSDR Consultative Council, Romanian Academy, Union of Architects of Romania, GIEDD Foundation, PartNET Association, Professional Association for Quality in Training for Public Administration (CINAQ). Other supporting institutions: Senate of Romania, Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Office of the National Coordinator for EUSDR, Romanian Banking Institute.

Main topic of the Forum was: “Promoting a SMART Entrepreneurship in the context of INNOVATION for the Danube – Black Sea Region”.
The target audience consisted of partnerships of private-public partnerships, NGO representatives, regional networks, interdisciplinary academic groups, universities and research centers, national and bi-lateral chambers of commerce, diplomatic representatives etc.

Among the personalities present at the Forum, we mention the representatives of the Senate of Romania – Senator Marian VASILIEV and the Chamber of Deputies – Deputy Florian NICOLAE; the national coordinator of SUERD, General Director Carmen PODGOREAN – Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representative of GIEDD – A.S. Prince Michael de Laufenburg.
