With the adoption of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region, Bulgaria and Romania were nominated as Priority Area Coordinators for the 3rd Priority Area “To promote Culture and Tourism, People to People Contacts”. Both countries have a long experience in cooperation, proven in many projects commonly developed. This is why the implementation of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region will further strengthen the collaboration between all involved countries in the benefit of the entire Danube Region. Since the endorsement of the Danube Strategy by the European Commission, Romania and Bulgaria have commonly worked to develop the operational working structure of this 3rd Priority Area and its coordination plan. Getting all countries involved is the key point of the Strategy. In this regard, all the nominated Steering Group members were invited to theĀ kick-off meeting of the Steering Groupthat took place in Brussels, on Tuesday, June 21st, starting with 11.00, at the DG Regional Policy premises.
